Knowledge and Road Tests

What is a Knowledge and Road Test?
The knowledge test is a written multiple-choice test.  The answers come from the Basic Driver's Information Handbook.  You can practice online and then come in to our office to complete the test.

The road test requires that you get behind the wheel and demonstrate that you are able to drive competently.  One of our examiners will come along for the ride and, based on your driving, will either pass or fail you.

Why do I need it?

You cannot legally obtain any class of driver's license without first passing both the knowledge and road test.
