Licensing and registration is part of a checks-and-balance system to make sure that everyone who owns and/or operates a motor vehicle in Alberta is legally on the road. For businesses, service groups and organizations, Alberta's corporate registry services ensure that you are a legal entity licensed to provide your services in our province.
Prior to 1993, the Alberta government took care of all licensing and registration in the province. Privatization made it possible for local agents, like us, to offer those services in their own communities. Only companies that are authorized by Alberta registries can offer these services.

If you own a business but don't file an annual return, your corporation will eventually be struck from the register. That means that your business or organization will be removed from the Alberta Corporation Registries active record.
