An annual return has nothing to do with taxes. It's actually information that a corporation is required to file every year, ending on the anniversary date of when you incorporated or registered.
A corporate annual return includes:
- your corporate access number
- the name of your corporation
- the address of your corporation
- the applicable period the report applies to
- any changes that have been made to the directors
- a list of shareholders, their addresses and what percentage of voting shares they hold
As an accredited service provider, we can help you file your annual return.
You will need
- acceptable personal identification
- a completed Annual Return form
- additional corporate amendment forms (if required)
Did you know? If you don't file an annual return, your corporation will eventually be struck from the register. That means that your business or organization will be removed from the Alberta Corporation Registries active record.
